Interpets Osaka 2024: an all-encompassing gathering for pet industry professionals and pet enthusiasts

The second edition of Interpets Osaka – A Fair for a Better Life with Pets – will take place from 20 to 22 September 2024 at INTEX Osaka. The show serves as both a trade fair for professionals in the pet industry and a private pet event. It brings together a wide range of products and services related to pets, including pet food and supplies, IT appliances, furniture and travel, from both domestic and international exhibitors. As of this August, approximately 300 companies from nine countries and regions, including Australia, China, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam, are set to exhibit at the fair. While tickets for private visitors have already sold out, business visitors such as retail buyers, pet shop owners, salon operators, hotel managers, and veterinarians and nurses can still attend through the business registration.

Japan’s pet market continues to experience growth, driven by an increasing focus on pet wellness and lifestyle. The market, approaching JPY 500 billion (USD 3.423 billion) according to a study by Fuji Keizai Group Co Ltd, will continue its upward trajectory with an emphasis on premium pet food, advanced healthcare products, and innovative services that cater to the well-being of pets. Shows like Interpets Osaka play a crucial role in this market, providing a platform for industry professionals to explore new trends, forge business relationships, and introduce cutting-edge products to a highly engaged audience. 

As the Japanese pet industry evolves, Interpets Osaka remains at the forefront, promoting a prosperous and fulfilling life for both pets and their owners. The trade show is expected to attract a large and diverse attendance, further solidifying its status as a must-attend show in the pet industry calendar.
