Where function meets creativity: International Stationery & School Supplies Fair 2026 opens

The 24th Hong Kong International Stationery & School Supplies Fair opens today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, inviting buyers to explore the latest collections in school supplies, office tools, writing instruments, and creative products. Welcoming exhibitors from 9 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and beyond, the show presents a diverse range of items that highlight both functional design and artistic expression. Through special showcases, industry seminars, and live presentations, the fair provides a concise overview of new, practical, and inspiring products across the stationery landscape.

Ms Judy Cheung, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, highlighted the defining features of this year’s edition: “In line with the evolution of the industry, exhibitors are not just showcasing products, they are presenting visionary ideas. From practical tools for special needs to notebooks crafted with story and style, the fair reflects how stationery represents an outlet for creativity and purpose, enhancing its global market potential. We are proud to provide a platform where buyers can discover exceptional items, connect with trusted suppliers, and be inspired by new possibilities.”

Standout exhibitors include China First Pencil, showcasing its CHUNGHWA eye-protection pencils with a balanced triangular grip designed to reduce writing fatigue, alongside its Artist and Sketch Art Series for illustration and sketching; Hangzhou Caishun Stationery, presenting its SUPERDOTS dot markers for early childhood development, which are colourful, washable, and safe for young learners; Hangzhou Paper Penguin Culture, introducing new paper design products such as themed stickers for scrapbooking and journals, puzzle-style photo frames, and greeting cards; and Marshmallow from Portugal, returning with Back to School and lifestyle collections featuring eco-conscious backpacks and accessories.

Curated showcases enhance the buyer journey

Before entering the main hall, visitors will be greeted by the fair’s central display, selected highlight products of exhibitors will be featured to give an overview of this year’s showcase.

Within the main hall, buyers can efficiently navigate four themed product zones:

  • Kids & School – featuring educational tools, colourful school supplies, and student-focused stationery that prioritises engagement and safety.
  • Pen & Paper – offering writing instruments, journals, notebooks, and paper goods where practicality meets design.
  • Creative Art – showcasing DIY materials, sketchbooks, and art supplies catering to professional creatives, educators, and hobbyists.
  • Office Supplies – presenting workspace essentials, desktop tools, and organisational products for today’s hybrid and home-office environments.

Complementing this product discovery is a fringe programme that explores the ideas and strategies driving the industry forward. Sessions include:

  • Empowering Stationery’s Future: Unlocking Innovation Through AI and Digital Co-creation
    Speaker: Mr Gary Li, Founder, ConnecTech Limited
    This session examines how AI is being integrated into product development and creative processes, helping stationery brands deliver smarter, more personalised solutions for learning, productivity, and design.
  • An E-Commerce Roadmap for Stationery Brands
    Speaker: Mr Terry Kwok, Cross-Border E-Commerce Strategist, Alibaba.com
    Attendees will gain practical strategies for identifying their ideal international customers using AI-driven analytics and cross-border platforms, with a focus on helping stationery brands scale globally.
  • Imbuing Stationery with Soul and Story
    Speakers: Dr Alex King, Co-Founder, Alex King Atelier
    Ms Wylis Chiu, Founder & Creative Director, Flare Paper n’ Style
    A conversation between two award-winning creatives on how visual identity, product storytelling, and design philosophy can create stronger emotional connections with customers.

Further engagement is available at the Product Demo & Launch Pad, where selected exhibitors will showcase their latest innovations in action. First time exhibitor, Blaxall Optics Low Vision (New Zealand) will unveil its Professional Magnifier Series, developed to support users with low vision. Young Tide, a homegrown Hong Kong brand, will introduce its TATOU notebook line, combining premium materials with thoughtful design to elevate the writing experience.

To facilitate networking beyond the show floor, online business matching is available via the Click2Match platform until 22 January 2026, enabling buyers and exhibitors to arrange meetings and explore new opportunities before, during, and after the show.

Jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the fair will be held concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair and the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, providing a one-stop sourcing platform and crossover business opportunities for participants.
