Beautyworld Japan Nagoya delivers demands and strengthens position as a leading fair for beauty professionals

25 Jul 2025

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd, Beautyworld Japan Nagoya has once again contributed to the development of the beauty sector, with participation from leading companies in Japan. Aiming to be the Tokai region’s best meeting point for the nation’s beauty industry players, from 14 – 16 July 2025 the show attracted 13,066 trade visitors, including buyers, wholesalers and manufacturers at Port Messe Nagoya Exhibition Hall 1.

218 exhibitors, including 84 making their debuts, showcased the latest trends, products and technologies in the aesthetic, cosmetics, hair, nail, eyelash and other beauty-related segments. Brimming with innovations, business networking opportunities, and continuous education through the fringe programme, the 3rd edition provided an indispensable B2B platform for both exhibitors and visitors.

The exhibition area consisted of eight zones, namely Beauty Equipment Zone, Cosmetics Zone, Fem more, Hair Zone, Nail & Eyelash Zone, Tasty, Wellness & Beauty, and a special exhibition area NEXT, for companies exhibiting for the first time. They joined a range of suppliers in other zones who were making their returns, with exhibitor feedback widely positive.

Showcasing in Cosmetics Zone, Mr Shinichi Watanabe, President of EVER CO., LTD., was pleased with the result already at day two: “Our main aim when attending the fair was to attract salon owners wishing to become our partner shops and to promote our new products. Just by the second day we have already collected over 70 applications from salon owners. On the third day, we hope to receive further applications.”

Having exhibited at the Nagoya fair since its inaugural edition, Mr Takahiro Kagami, President of PLUS Inc., said: “This time we shifted our target customers to salon managers and hairdressers; as a result, we received 50 leads on the first day and 40 on the second day, almost double the number of leads from the previous edition. We talk to professional visitors who are thinking about expanding their businesses, and look forward to future business developments.”

“We decided to exhibit in order to increase the number of dealers in the three prefectures of the Tokai region,” explained Ms Shizuka Sekiguchi, Representative Director of first-time exhibitor Reage Co., Ltd. “On the first day, we obtained six contracts for new authorised dealers presenting at the Exhibitor Presentation and added 25 at the booth in two days. Therefore, we are sure we can achieve our target, and we are very satisfied with the outcome.”

A long-time visitor to all four Beautyworld Japan fairs, Ms Maire Takahashi of Yufuin Kinrin-ko Clinic, described the appeal of attending the show in Nagoya. “I came here to replenish our supply and to look for new cosmetics to sell in the clinic. The venue is compact, making it easy to find the products I am looking for. Every time I come to Beautyworld Japan, I always discover new trends in the beauty industry, and update my knowledge to make our business thrive.”

35 fringe events were held in four presentation areas: Talk Stage, Demonstration Stage, Exhibitor Presentations, and the fee-based Premium Seminar. Various seminars covered the latest trends, techniques and business management practices in acupuncture, aesthetics, eyelash, fem care, hair, and nail sectors. Many attracted attendees beyond their capacities, especially those that promoted learning techniques from industry celebrities.

After attending a Premium Seminar, Ms Mariko Yoshimura, owner of the aesthetic salon “mariange,” expressed her enthusiasm: “To increase customer satisfaction further, I wanted to incorporate head massage techniques into my own salon. The instructor's teaching was easy to understand and I can add it to my menu right away.”

As the venue, Port Messe Nagoya Hall 1 will be used for the 20th Asia Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 and Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games, the 2026 edition of Beautyworld Japan Nagoya will be held from 23 – 25 March 2026.
